Hurghada is located on the Red Sea's west coast, stretching for about 40 km along the seashore, with the dramatic rocky mountain ranges of the Arabian Desert as its backdrop. The Serenity Makadi Beach Resort is situated at the southern end of Hurghada, directly on its own private beach. Hurghada International Airport is 36 kilometers away, the distance to Hurghada city center is 45 Kilometers.

Several charter flights daily connect Hurghada with Europe, at an approximate flight time of 4.5 hours. From Cairo, there are daily and overnight coaches reaching Hurghada in about 6 hours. Getting around there is a choice of taxi, mini bus or regular buses. The Resort also operates shuttle bus service to the city center several times daily with charge.

Hurghada is blessed with a wonderful climate, even in January the average temperature reaches 24ºC.
The skies above the city are almost always clear and without a cloud in sight, meaning that in June to August the people of Hurghada bask in an amazing 13 hours of uninterrupted sunlight each day.
Even in December and January average hours of sunlight are 7 hours per day, which is still more than many parts of Europe in the winter months.
Precipitation across the year is minimal, most months recording zero rainfall across the entirety of the month. If there is going to be rainfall it is most likely to occur in November, which records 3.8 mm of precipitation for the month- based on historical averages.
